Selk records 1,000th dig for Hayfield

Hayfield senior Alyssa Selk picked up her 1,000th career dig as the Vikings took sixth out of 16 teams at the Rochester Exchange Club volleyball tournament Friday and Saturday.

Hayfield (15-11 overall) beat New Prague 25-20, 25-13, lost to Rochester John Marshall 25-19, 25-17, beat Rochester Lourdes 25-10, 25-13, and fell to Rochester Century 25-17, 25-20.

Selk, who missed about half of the season with an injury, recorded 18 digs in the four matches.

The Vikings enter the Section 1A West Division tournament as a No. 2 seed and will play a home match Thursday at 7 p.m.
