The Lyle/Pacelli football team lost 79-0 at Houston (3-3 overall, 3-3 SEC) Friday.

The Athletics (0-6 overall, 0-6 SEC) trailed 53-0 at the half and they were out-gained 420 yards to 52.

“It comes down to Houston wanting to be physical and we didn’t want to do it,” L/P head coach Reid Olson said. “We paid the price for it.”

L/P lost junior lineman Thomas Mueller to injury in the contest.

“If he’s out, it’s going to hurt us,” Olson said. “He’s helped us on the line and at linebacker while developing into a leader.”

L/P (0-6 overall, 0-6 SEC) hosts Mabel/Canton at Art Hass Stadium Friday at 7 p.m.
