The Austin Bruins scored four goals in the third period to come back to beat Aberdeen 5-4 in their home opener in Riverside Arena Saturday.
Brandon Wahlin tied the game up at four when he scored with 7:69 left in the game and John Simonson, who is from Grand Forks N.D., scored his first goal of the season for the game winner about two minutes later to lift the Bruins, who trailed 4-1 going into the third.
Austin (2-3 overall) spread it around on the night as five different players — including Austin high school grad John Kirby — scored in the win.
Tyler Bruggeman picked up the win as he stopped 25 saves in net.
