Policies are a recipe for helping terrorists

While Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, over the last several months, was spending a great deal of time loudly backing the administration’s comprehensive immigration “reform” program, other activities were unfolding under her nose. A United States Army major was communicating with a radical Muslim cleric in Yemen. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was receiving Al-Qaeda crash-course instructions on how to hide a bomb in his underwear and destroy a fully-loaded jetliner. Homegrown American terrorists were plotting to blow up the New York subway.

Napolitano recently stated that her immigration-enforcement activities were so successful that now was the time to implement comprehensive immigration “reform” — meaning amnesty for 12 million illegal aliens within our borders.

How can we call ourselves safe when we don’t know who is entering this country? If hundreds of thousands of penniless, uneducated illegals can walk across our borders every year, why can’t well-trained and well-financed terrorists do the same? It requires only a few terrorists to slip through to wreak havoc on our country.

Nearly 10 yearse after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, both the administration and Congress continue to snooze to the sound of this ticking time bomb. I once heard such mindless amnesia described as the “Terrorist Assistance and Facilitation Act.”
