Austin Early Childhood and Family Education to get new computers

Austin’s Early Childhood and Family Education program got some good news this week.

The program will receive two computers, worth $2,600 total, with early learning software from the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation as part of SMIF’s through its Young Explorer Early Learning Systems grant.

One computer will go to the Community Learning Center and one to Woodson Kindergarten Center.

Austin Public Schools has had Young Explorer Early Learning Systems before, according to Amy Baskin, director of community learning. Those computers have since been replaced.
