Mower County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for suspects after discovering an unoccupied rural Austin home ransacked.

Sheriff Terese Amazi said one or more people broke into the home within the last few days. Two windows in the home were broken, including one in the front door, and the front door was left open.

Amazi said personal property was scattered around the house and many glass items were shattered, including a large glass fish bowl and glass shelving. Deputies found chunks of concrete in the home and nothing appeared to be missing, Amazi said.
