MANKATO — A Golden Valley man is accused of slashing the throat of his ex-girlfriend after she told him she was seeing someone else.

Nineteen-year-old Damone Christopher Williams-Tillman was charged Tuesday with second-degree murder and remained in jail.

Williams is accused of killing 19-year-old Josselyn Bishop, a Minnesota State University, Mankato student from Henderson. A truck driver found her body in an industrial area of Mankato last Friday.

The Star Tribune reports Williams-Tillman told police he picked up Bishop, and they got into an argument as they drove around.

According to the complaint, Williams-Tillman said he blacked out but remembered having a knife. He said he saw Bishop lying in the grass bleeding and that he threw a knife and a cellphone out of the car while driving over a bridge.
