1 dead in Brooklyn Park shooting

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (AP) — Police in Brooklyn Park say they’re investigating a fatal shooting as a homicide.
Officers were dispatched about 11 p.m. Thursday on a report of a gunshot. Officers arrived and found a teenage girl had been shot in the head outside her vehicle. Police have not identified the 17-year-old victim.
Investigators are looking for possible witnesses. A group of people standing near the car where the teen was shot scattered when police arrived. Police say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
