The Austin All Stars Moose/local 9 international Youth baseball tourney, will be dedicated to Kevin Higbe this year.

The tournament, which features 12-year old players, will begin Saturday at 10 a.m.

Higbe will be honored for his dedication to the youth of Austin.

“Not only has Kevin been involved in the All star program for a number of years,

But he also has been a part of other youth activities in Austin,” tourney chairman Mike Holtorf said.

Higbe currently is assistant coach for the Austin American Legion baseball team.

Accenta credit union will receive the “sponsor of the year” award.

They will be presented at opening cermonies Friday June 24 at the Todd park north diamond complex.

This year’s tourney will feature 16 teams from, Minnesota, Canada, and Wisconsin.
