Police are still searching for leads in an armed robbery that took place Thursday at the 14th Street McDonald’s in Austin.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said Monday morning that detectives have no suspects in the case.

The robbery happened around 4:45 a.m. Thursday, when three McDonald’s employees were arriving at work for the opening shift. Two light-skinned black men apparently pointed a silver handgun at the employees and made them lay on the floor while the men took money from the cash registers, according to Police Captain Dave McKichan.

McKichan said witnesses told police one of the men was wearing jeans with a white, hooded sweatshirt and the other was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt with a purple T-shirt over it. Both had their faces covered with bandanas.

If anyone has any information regarding the robbery or the suspects, McKichan said to contact local law enforcement immediately.
