Local residents were generous once again this month.

The Austin Public School board accepted donations once again during its Monday meeting, this time for things like the Burning Bush restoration, Career Fair and Taste of Nations expenses.

Steve Justice and State Farm Companies donated $500 to the Grade 8 Career Fair for expenses.

Michael Ruzek donated $700 to Ellis Middle School for the Burning Bush restoration project.

US Bank donated $500 to Austin’s Integration Program for Taste of Nation expenses.

Southgate Elementary School’s Parent Teacher Committee donated $440 for the Young Author/Young Artist Conference and expenses.

The Early Childhood Family Education Advisory Council gave $600 to the ECFE for the sibling care program.
