The Hayfield baseball team finished its regular season with a 12-3 win over Pine Island (5-13 overall) in Hayfield Tuesday.

The Vikings (12-7 overall) scored four runs in the fourth to go up 7-3 and Evan Bungum hit a two-run homer for the exclamation point in the sixth inning.

Hayfield had five players with two hits in the win and head coach Craig Selk is glad to see other players stepping up besides Tyler Krekling and Tyler Nelson.

“It’s exactly what we wanted,” he said. “Evan and Dillon Wagner have come to life. We have more power than just the two Tylers.”
