Pacelli Golf Day, Hall of Fame Banquet approaching

The 32nd annual Pacelli Golf Day and the fifth annual Hall of Fame Banquet will held on Friday, June 17. This annual event helps raise money for the many extracurricular programs at Pacelli Catholic Schools. All golfers are welcome, no matter what their skill level is. If you don’t wish to golf you can come to the dinner and honor the 2011 Pacelli Hall of Fame inductees.

The cost for the golf and banquet is $75 per person which includes a golf cart. The cost for the banquet and awards ceremony is $30 per person. Registration forms are available at both Pacelli Catholic School offices and are also online at www.pacellionline.net. The 18-hole golf event will begin with a shotgun start at noon at River Oaks Golf Course. There will be free hotdogs and beverages on the course throughout the afternoon. On hole 8 you can pay to play for a chance to win a new car for a hole-in-one. There will be other pin prize opportunities throughout the day.

A critical part of this fundraiser is the raffle ticket sales. Only 300 tickets will be sold this year for the price of $20 each ticket. This year you have the opportunity to win many great prizes on the raffle which include a $500 cash prize, a $459 32” LCD HDTV, a $379 Rydjor Bike gift certificate, $300 cash prize, $200 cash prize, $125 South Central Athlete gift certificate, and four $100 cash prizes.

The Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will be held at St. Edward’s Corcoran Center. The meal, a chicken parmesan dinner with all the trimmings, will be served at 7pm at St. Edward Corcoran Center. This dinner will be followed by the Pacelli’s 2011 Hall of Fame awards ceremony. This year’s honorees include Dick Cotter ’46, Gene Leif ’49, Conrad Ray ’93, Fr. John Tighe, Patty (Lundberg) Bray ’81, Therese (Parlin) Mangold ’74, Larry Scheid ’59, and Jerry Wolesky.
