The Lyle/Pacelli baseball team put up 11 runs in the fifth inning to beat Schaeffer Academy 17-12 in Marcusen Park Tuesday.

L/P eighth grader Jordan Hart blasted a three-run homer during the 11-ran rally.

“He’s only an eighth grader and he really sees the ball well,” L/P head coach Dan Zielke said. “ I know we came out on top, but we absolutely need to tighten things up if we want to be competitive come section time.”

Skylar Meyer went three-for-five for the Athletics (4-5 overall, 3-2 SEC) and he is now 10 for his last 14.
