The Hayfield girls track and field took fourth at the Byron Indoor meet in Rochester Community and Technical College Thursday.

The Vikings broke 11 personal records and the 4 x 200-meter relay team broke a school record that had stood since 2003.

The team, composed of Madison Heydt, Amber Sprau, Sara Gilbertson and Rachel Czaplewski took second with a time of 1:56.

Madison Heydt, an eighth grader, took second in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.9 seconds and Sprau, a sophomore, took second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.40. Gilbertson took second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:09.81.
