Nature Center plans evening walk

Published 5:00 pm Saturday, April 23, 2011

Join the Nature Center staff for an evening walk and discover the sights and sounds of spring while listening to the Earth.

This event and tree planting is a celebration of Arbor Day and a tribute to Walkin’ Jim Stolz, a wilderness advocate. Attendees can walk as far or as little as they want with Larry Dolphin and staff. This event is free and open to the public. Call 507-437-7519 or e-mail jchnatur@smig.net for more information.

Attendees can bring plastic beverage bottles and aluminum cans to help fund a local sustainability intern. Conservation Minnesota is partnering with A.C.E.S. to provide 10 cents per bottle to promote the recycling refund. Bottles and cans can also be dropped off anytime through April 30 at Super Fresh Produce.
