The Blooming Prairie baseball team had trouble on the mound in a 7-4 loss to Faribault Bethlehem Academy in BP Thursday.
BP’s pitching tandem of Isaiah Toquam and Cooper Nelson allowed a total of just three hits and they struck out seven. But they also allowed a total of 13 walks.
“If you allow three hits in seven innings, you should win the ball game,” BP head coach Chris Staloch said.
Luke Hueman hit a three-run double to make it 6-4 in the fourth, but BP (0-2 overall, 0-1 Gopher) couldn’t produce any more offense.
“We have to be more aggressive at the plate and we looked at way too many third strikes,” Staloch said.
