Wings rough up Bruins, 6-2

Austin didn’t get a real good start to their final weekend of home play in their inaugral season.

The Aberdeen, S.D. Wings blitzed the Bruins Friday night, 6-2 at Riverside Arena.

Austin was able to keep to within two at the end of two periods, but the Wings responded with a three-goal third period including the second of two goals for Aberdeen’s C.J. Pullar at 12:29 in the third.

Austin took a 1-0 lead in the first period when Chase McDonald scored on a powerplay at 5:45 with assists to John Kirby and Connor Quinn.

However, the Wings took a 2-1 lead with goals from Paul Prescott and Pullar.

The Bruins’ only other goal came at the 6:55 mark in the third period from Jordan Greenberg, assisted by Nolan Kirley.
