Paul Lawrence Coughlin, 86, of Blooming Prairie, died early Wednesday morning, March 16, 2011, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Mankato.

He was born April 20, 1924, to Thomas B. and Mary Ellen (Martin) Coughlin in Newry Township, Freeborn County, Minn. A lifelong Blooming Prairie resident, he worked for Lysne Construction as a house mover. He enjoyed fishing, watching tv and listening to the radio.
Survivors include two sisters, Myrtle Jacobson of Blooming Prairie, Kathleen (Jim) Coughlin-Murphy; three brothers, Charles (Loretta) Coughlin of Blooming Prairie, Robert Coughlin of Gilbert, Ariz., Clair (Pauline) Coughlin of Osseo; nieces; nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Leo, Francis, Mark, Howard and Gerald.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 19, at St. Columbanus Catholic Church in Blooming Prairie with Father William Kulas officiating. Rosary Service will be held at 4 p.m., Prayer service at 7 p.m., and visitation from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday at Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home with visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment is at St. Columbanus Cemetery in Blooming Prairie. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
