Betty Jean Wright Schaefer, 78, of Grandview, Mo., passed away Feb. 26, 2011. She was born on Dec. 24, 1932, in Albert Lea to Art and Audrey Osteen Wright. Betty lived in Grandview since 1954 and was married to Bob Schaefer for 57 years. She was active in Girl Scout activities for 25 years and a troop leader of Brownie Troop 202.

She leaves her husband, Bob; two daughters: Tamara Nell of Kansas City, Mo., and Debra Hannon of Orlando, Fla.; and four grandsons.
