Austin Police are investigating a robbery after four males broke into a home Sunday night demanding money and weed.

Police were called to a home at the 800 block of Eighth Ave. SW for a burglary at 11:13 p.m. Sunday, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger. Residents living at the home told police four black males entered through an unlocked side door, with one brandishing a long-barreled gun.

According to police reports, the men shouted at the residents, two adults and a 2 1/2 year old child, telling them to “give us our money,” and asking “where is our weed?”

The burglars didn’t find money or weed at the home but took a cell phone and a laptop. After the burglary, one of the victims ran to a nearby daughter’s home to call police.

Three of the men were wearing dark colored masks, the victim told police. The shortest man is reportedly 5 feet 9 inches tall and one of the masked men supposedly wore a red vest. The remaining man is described as black and between 6 feet 2 inches and 6 feet 4 inches tall.

Krueger said the investigation is ongoing and there are no known suspects.
