Marshall Lynn Weber, 63, of Waseca, died on the first full day of spring, Monday, March 21, 2011, at his residence in Waseca.

Born on Feb. 10, 1948, in Greensboro, N.C., he was the son of Ernest “Blacky” Mustinin and Bernice Duhant; his parents were Stan and Detta Weber. He graduated from high school in 1965 in Marshalltown, Iowa. Marshall married Katie Broadwell on April 11, 1970, in Albert Lea. He attended South Central Technical College where he received his electrical technician degree. He worked for the E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca for several years and later graduated from Mankato State University with degrees in business and computer science. He then worked for Northwest Airlines as a system analyst for 15 years, retiring in 2009.

His hobbies included being a ham radio operator, martial arts, doing magic, model airplanes, gun and knife collecting, ancient coin collecting, blacksmithing, wood carving and traveling. He was a lifetime member of the Faribault Masons and was a volunteer fireman in Waseca for 16 years.

He is survived by his wife, Katie, of Waseca; two sons: Robert Weber of Waseca and Nathan (Erica Forsythe) Weber of Waseca; and one granddaughter, Sophiel Bea Weber. He is also survived by two brothers: Stan Weber Jr. of Minneapolis and Bill (Cheryl) Nelson of Virginia; one sister, Pam (David) Anderson of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister-in-law, Lindley Jensen and husband (Bruce Langseth); and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Christ Community Church in Waseca with the Rev. Howard Lundeen officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday one hour before services at the church. Online condolences may be submitted to the family at dennisfuneralhomes.com.
