The Austin boys hockey team had a forgettable second period in a 10-4 loss to Winona in Riverside Arena Tuesday.

The Winhawks (5-15-1 overall, 3-10 Big Nine) scored eight times in the third period to take a 10-1 lead.

“We just didn’t show up in the second,” Austin head head coach Tim Peterson said.

The Packers (4-18 overall, 1-9 Big Nine) scored three times in the third, but it was too late.

Marcus Stoulil had two goals and an assist for Austin, while Josh Hart and Tyler Stevens each had one goal. Ethan Larson had two assists and Devin McCune and Jaret Retterath had one assist.

Winona out-shot Austin 34-31.
