Michael “Mort” Mortenson, 44, of Brooklyn Park, passed away Sunday, Feb. 6. He was known for his unmatched strength, courage and charisma.

He is survived by parents, Larry and Patricia (Miller) Mortenson; brother, Chad (Tracy); special nephews and niece, Tanner Michael, Jonah, and Lily; many relatives and friends. He is also survived by family from Austin, including his grandmother, Bessie Miller; aunts and uncles, Donna and LaVern Haas, Betty and Dave Neus; cousins, Sue Korfhage and Bonnie Gordon.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at Brooklyn United Methodist Church, 7200 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, MN. Interment is at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, Crystal, Minn.

There will be a visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Evans Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd Street NE, Osseo, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
