The Hayfield boys basketball team led big late, but had to hold on to beat Winona Cotter 70-63 on the road Friday.

The Vikings (9-3 overall, 2-2 HVL Gold) led by 18 with three minutes to go before Cotter caught fire.

“They hit a flurry of shots at the end and I wasn’t really happy with that,” Hayfield head coach Chris Pack said. “But we played really good in the middle of the second half.”
