The Hayfield girls basketball team picked up its most impressive win of the year when it bested Kasson/Mantorville (9-3 overall) 47-41 in Kasson Tuesday.

The Vikings (8-4 overall) led 22-20 at the half and Alyssa Selk hit some late free throws to put it away.

“It was a big win for us against a nice ball club,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said. “The girls played good defense and we handled their full court press after having a lot of trouble on Saturday (against NRHEG’s press).”
