The Blooming Prairie boys basketball team lost 71-53 to Mankato Loyola (9-2 overall) in BP Saturday.

Loyola’s combination of Jake Wesley, who scored 27 points, and Taydor Gach, who scored 23, were too much for the Awesome Blossoms to handle.

“The key to the game was that it was played at Loyola’s pace. They pressed and ran and that is not our game,” BP head coach John Bruns said. “Offensively, we played very well except for some missed layups and free throws.”

BP (4-12 overall) trailed 40-25 at the half.
