The Austin wrestling team finished fourth out of five teams as it won one of its four duals at the Decorah, Iowa Duals Saturday.

The Packers picked up their win against Maquoketa, Iowa 60-24 and they lost to South Winnesheik 42-28, Western Dubuqe, Iowa 64-12 and Decorah, Iowa 59-24.

Western Dubuqe won the meet by going unbeaten.

“We were overmatched in some places, but we were able to get competitive matches for nearly all of the members of our team,” Austin head coach Bill Kinney said.

Devon Felten made the all-tournament team for Austin as he picked up two pins and two forfeits at 103 and Erick Power won the Bruce Kinseth Award for most falls in the least amount of time.

Power, a 119-pounder picked up four pins in 8:40.

Eighth grader Brandon Cotter went 3-0 with two pins in his first varsity action and Braden Eggum won his only match.
