Davis leads RCC men to a win

The Riverland men’s basketball team took control early and hung on to beat Minnesota West 101-89 in Worthington Saturday.

Josh Davis, a 6-5 sophmore from Morrow, Georgia, made all of his 29 minutes of action count in the win as he finished with 31 points on 13-of-15 shooting, 12 rebounds and three steals.

RCC (10-6 overall, 1-0 MCAC South) led 47-30 at the break.

“I was pleased with our defense for the first twenty minutes, we communicated and rebounded well which led to our breaks,” RCC head coach Dan Swift said “In the second half our defense was not as crisp as it should have been.”
