David and Michelle Hare announce the birth of their son, Dakota Dawson Hare, born Oct. 21, 2010 at Austin Medical Center. Dakota weighed seven pounds, 10 ounces and measured 19.5 inches.

Proud grandparents are Jeff and Shawn Julson, Kathy and Richard LaChappelle and Gerry and Bruce Zempel — all of Austin — and Joseph Vartanian of Stewartville.
