The Southland girls basketball team cruised past Lewiston/Altura (1-5 overall) 80-46 on the road Friday.

The Rebels (6-1 overall, 3-1 Three Rivers) started slow, but they closed the first half on a 34-6 run to put the game away.

“When we decided to start rebounding and concentrating it was a good game,” Southland head coach Bob Sheehan said.

Sophomore Hillary Bottema poured in 13 points off the bench for the Rebels.
