Ruth Marie Johnson (Forystek), 60, of St. Paul, formerly of Austin, passed away on Dec. 20, 2010, after living with lung cancer.

Ruth earned academic degrees from Austin Community College, St. Cloud State University and the College of St. Catherine. As an active teacher and nursing instructor, Ruth touched many lives.

She is survived by daughters, Sarah (Calvin) and Hilary (JR); two grandchildren, Trae and Madeline; her mother, Geraldine; brothers, sisters and numerous extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at Stephano’s in Burnsville from 4 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 29, 2010. Stephano’s is located at 11849 Millpond Avenue, Burnsville.
