Rebel boys win third straight game

The Southland boys basketball team won their third straight game with an 82-62 win over victory at St. Charles (3-4 overall) Tuesday.
The Rebels (3-4 overall) jumped out to an 8-0 lead and they held a 49-31 advantage at the half.
Sophomores Nick Schmitz and Mike Goergen combined for 42 points for Southland and Goergen added six rebounds, eight assists, and five steals.
“The press was clicking and everything was working,” Southland head coach Jon Thalberg said. “We ran the offense very well and had some very good shots.”
