The Riverland men’s basketball team made a late rally, but Northland prevailed in a 78-68 decision down the stretch.

Northland hit 12 straight free throws to put away the Blue Devils (3-5 overall), who had pulled to within two with two minutes left in the game.

RCC played the game without starting guard Nicco Montgomery.

“Missing a Nicco was a big loss, he handles the ball and runs the team,” RCC head coach Dan Swift said. “ We just didn’t make the big play down the stretch.”
