MINNEAPOLIS  — A Minneapolis snow-plow driver has been cleared to return to work, days after his plow collided with a car in an intersection.

Police had cited 58-year-old Scott Kjeseth of Minneapolis after Sunday morning’s collision. The police report says he failed to stop for a stop sign.

His plow collided with a car containing a family of five. No one was seriously hurt.

A witness told police he didn’t stop at the stop sign. The family claimed he accelerated through the intersection, but Kjeseth disputes that. He tells KSTP-TV he’ll fight the ticket.

Matt Laible is a spokesman for the city of Minneapolis. He says Kjeseth was put on paid leave after the crash, and was cleared to return to work after drug and alcohol tests came back negative Tuesday.
