The Lyle/Pacelli boys basketball team couldn’t find its rhythm in a 60-47 loss at Houston (1-0 overall, 1-0 SEC) Friday.

The Athletics (0-2 overall, 0-1 SEC) trailed 35-23 at the half and they weren’t able to get much closer.

“We were really flat with no energy whatsoever,” L/P head coach Casey Anderson said. “We had a few spurts in the second half where we had some life, but then we went back to playing flat footed.”

Sophomore point guard David Diang led L/P with 12 points and he scored nine of those points in the first half.“David carried us in the first half and he may have won the starting point guard job tonight,” Anderson said. “He showed up to play.”
