Finger’s late goal lifts Bruins to win

Jeremy Finger scored the game winning goal for the Austin Bruins with 4:24 left in the third period to clinch a 5-4 win over Alexandria (11-9-3 overall) in Riverside Arena Saturday.

The Bruins (8-14-1 overall) led 3-0 after Jordan Greenberg netted his second goal of the net to open the second period, but Alexandria scored the next four goals to take a 4-3 lead.

Sam Olson tied the game with 10:52 left in the third period for Austin.

Eamon McAdam had 25 saves on 29 shots for Austin in goal and Keegan Asmundson stopped all six shots that he saw.
