Donald Dean Dohlman died, 78, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at St Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Don was born March 15, 1932, to Henry and Kate (Buseman) Dohlman. He attended school through the eighth grade in Kesley, Iowa and served in the United States Army from 1952-1954 spending 8 months in Korea.

On May 7, 1955, he was united in marriage to Wanda Tebay at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They had six children: Lynn, Debbie, Terry, Jay, a stillborn son, and Karen. After their marriage, they lived in Floyd, Mason City, Hudson, and Dike, IA before moving to their farm in Howard County Iowa in 1962.

Don enjoyed fishing, camping, tractor pulls, anything John Deere and going for drives. He enjoyed spending time with his family and staying in touch with them whether they were in the field, on the road or on vacation. Watching his grandchildren play and grow was one of his favorite pastimes. He was a member of the American Legion and AA for

eight years.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; son, Jay (Rebecca) Dohlman; daughter, Debbie Keller, all of Riceville, Iowa; Karen (Mark) Wettlaufer, Cushing; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Dohlman, Riceville; 15 grandchildren: Justin (Pam); Tracey (Rob); Jackson (Wendy); Tyler (fiance, Amelia); Dakota; Jesse (Andi); Emily (fiance, Jeff); Alicia; Nathaneal (Stacey); Dominic (Marianna); Camille Dohlman; Chris (Amanda); Angela (Jeff); Ashley (Cory) and Kyle (fiance, Teresa) Keller; 11 great-grandchildren: Mercadez, Isabella, Ella, Clara, Hope, Ethan, Lyndon, Taleah, Lincoln, Lexus, and Paige; six siblings: George (Fern) Dohlman; Minnie Klingenborg; Norma Kling, all of LeRoy; Rena Holzer, Charles City, Iowa; Faye Johnson of Osage, Iowa; Judy (Joe) Langlie, Spring Valley; two sisters-in-law, Sandy Dohlman, Chester, Iowa and Annabelle Dohlman , Allison, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Lynn in 1998; a son-in-law, Brad Keller in 2008; six brothers: Albert, Eime, Henry, LeClair, Floyd and Wendell; an infant son and an infant daughter.

Memorial services for Donald D. Dohlman will be held at 1p.m., Saturday Dec.11, 2010, at the LeRoy Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Elaine Siemsen officiating. Burial will take place in the Chester Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11a.m. until time of service.
