Christmas in the County has been delayed a week with snow expected this weekend.

The Mower County Historical Society’s largest yearly fundraiser will start Friday with a bake sale from 4 to 8 p.m. The bake sale continues Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.

With a winter storm expected this weekend, Saturday’s festivities have been postponed to Dec. 18 from 3 to 7 p.m.

“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and a lot of people love coming out,” said Dustin Heckman, executive director.

Last year, the fundraiser brought in more than $3,000. Along with the bake sale, there will be a silent auction for the Historical Society. Heckman said the auction will include more items than last year. Items on sale include an autograph from Vikings WR Percy Harvin, an autograph of Twins great Tony Oliva and gift baskets.

On Dec. 18, there will be a number of events including sleigh rides and a visit from Santa.
