Bismarck sweeps Bruins

Bismarck (17-8-1 overall) completed a weekend sweep of the Austin Bruins when it hung on to win 3-1 in Bismarck Saturday.

The Bruins (8-16-1 overall) pulled to within 2-1 on a powerplay goal by Sam Olson with 55 seconds left in the first period, but they attempted just 13 shots the rest of the way.

Bismarck scored its first two goals in the game’s first 12 minutes and they put it away with a an empty netter with 29 seconds left in the game.

Austin goalie Eamon McAdam stopped 30 shots in the second and third periods to keep his team in it and finished with 37 total saves.
