Teen arrested in stabbing at Hmong event in Minn.

ST. PAUL— Police say they have a 19-year-old man in custody in the stabbing of two teens Saturday night at a Hmong new year celebration inside RiverCentre in St. Paul.

WCCO-TV reports the teen from St. Paul is being held in the Ramsey County jail on Sunday awaiting possible charges. He’s suspected in the stabbing of two teenage boys about 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hmong event. The victims are expected to survive their injuries.

Police say the stabbing may be gang-related, but it remains under investigation. Officers responding to the scene also cited three adults and three juveniles for disorderly conduct in connection with the stabbing and fight.

Officers closed the gates to the event for at least 30 minutes while they tried to break up the fight.
