Robert Eugene Olson, 81 of Austin, Minn. died Friday, Nov. 26, at the Austin Medical Center.

Robert was born March 23, 1929 in Austin, the son of Sam and Anna (Westra) Olson. He attended Austin High School. Robert was married to Barbara Jean Yocom on Nov. 2, 1962 in Austin.

Prior to his retirement Bob worked at the Holiday Inn and the Weyerhaeuser Company. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed drawing, playing cards and was an avid sports fan. For the past several years he has resided at St. Marks Lutheran Home in Austin.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Olson, Austin, Minn.; daughters: Valerie Schewe, Blooming Prairie, Minn.; Carol Gusa, Commerce City, Colo.; son: Curtis Olson, Austin, Minn.; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren; aunt, Alice Westra, Austin, Minn.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Connie Johnson and a brother Kenneth Olson.

A private family service will be held at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials.
