Kelly Jean Johnson, 49, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at her home in Albert Lea.
Kelly was born May 13, 1961, in Minneapolis, the daughter of John and Sharon (Birk) Delaney. She was born and raised in Ellendale, graduating from the Ellendale High School.
She was married to David Johnson on Aug. 29, 1986, in the North Freeborn Lutheran Church, rural Albert Lea. She had been a member of the North Freeborn Lutheran Church and later a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. She had been a resident of Albert Lea the past twenty-four years. Kelly worked in registration at the Albert Lea Medical Center. She was a member of the DOES.
Kelly loved camping, and was very creative with her scrapbooking and stamping. She also loved collecting antiques.
Kelly is survived by her husband, David of Albert Lea,; children: Danyel (Noah) Skattebo of Austin; Elizabeth (Derek) Griffith of Owatonna; David K. Johnson of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Treshawn, Evan, Gavyn, Justen, Adam, Aleyah and Nora; mother, Sharon (Richard) Harding of Ellendale; sister, Kim (Randy) Lemberg of Grand Rapids; brother, John (Dalare) Delaney of Medford; Deb Barnett of Owatonna; sister, Linda (Chris) Newgaard of Geneva; nieces and nephews.
Kelly was preceded in death by her father, John Delaney; grandson, Ashton Sakttebo; grandparents:
Charles (Gertrude) Delaney and Jenny (Richard) Harding.
A time for remembering and sharing memories of Kelly Jean Johnson will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at Bonnerup Funeral Service, 2210 E. Main St. Albert Lea.
