Bruins fall short in OT

The Austin Bruins started strong, but couldn’t close out Coulee Region in a 4-3 overtime loss in Riverside Arena Saturday.

The Chill (11-5-2 overall) tied the game when Mike McDonald scored with 1:54 left in the third and they won it when Lucas Dillon scored early in the overtime session.

The Bruins (7-12-1 overall) led 2-0 after one period when Jordan Greenberg and Austin native John Kirby came up with goals.

Greenberg, a forward from Plano, Tex., had two goals on the night.

Eamon McAdam had 44 saves in the game for Austin.
