Blue Devil men can’t shake off shooting slump

The Riverland men’s basketball team hit a shooting slump it couldn’t shake off in a 93-74 loss at Western Wisconsin Tech Wednesday.

The Blue Devils (1-3 overall) hit just 31 percent of their field goals and 17 percent of their 28 three-point attempts in the loss.

“We played in the most physical game in a long time tonight. We hustled and worked well together, but you will not win many games when you shoot (like that),” RCC head coach Dan Swift said. “We really have to evaluate our shot selection and the quickness of our shots also. We need to keep improving because our schedule doesn’t get any easier.”
