A Rochester woman is in custody after officers found a bottle of prescription Lorazepan — generic for Atavan — not prescribed to her in her coat pocket.

Desiree Rios, 51, was walking outside of Watts Cookin’ in Austin Monday night around 11:30 p.m. when officers received a call from an unknown person saying that Rios was intoxicated and wanted to drive back to Rochester.

When officers arrived, Rios said she had forgotten her coat. When the officer retrieved the coat, he discovered the bottle of Lorazepan, prescribed to another person, in her pocket.

Rios also took a preliminary breath test and blew over the legal limit.

She was arrested for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and is being held at the Mower County jail pending court.
