Four men are in custody for burglary, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct after a party went awry early Monday morning.

Dak Ngut, 21, of Mankato, Domach Chuol, 25, of Austin, Tung Chuol, 21, of St. Cloud, and Ruot Chuol, 28, of Faribault were arrested in the 1300 block of 1st Place Southeast in Austin after allegedly kicking in the door of a party they had attended.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said the police report indicates the men were at a party, became “unruly” and were asked to leave. Once the four men were outside of the residence and the door was locked, they allegedly kicked in the door and began physically assaulting a 21-year-old female who was inside.

Krueger said a knife was displayed and held in a threatening manner towards other party-goers, but it was apparently not used during the altercation.

Ruot Chuol was the only one of the four who was apprehended by K9 Ghost. He had been hiding in a backyard when police arrived.

Ruot Chuol was transported to Austin Medical Center and treated for K9 apprehension on his right forearm.

The four men are in custody awaiting official charges from the Mower County Attorney’s office.
