2 die in pickup-semi collision near Fosston

FOSSTON, Minn. — Two people in a pickup truck have died in a collision with a semitrailer in snowy conditions near Fosston.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says the semi carrying soybeans hit the pickup about 2:10 p.m. Monday on a county road about two miles north of Fosston. The pickup’s driver and passenger were dead at the scene.
Their names were not immediately released.
The driver of the semi wasn’t hurt.
The Minnesota State Patrol said visibility was less than a half-mile at the time of the accident and the road was snow-covered and slippery.
