An Austin woman and four-year-old child were taken to Austin Medical Center Saturday evening after running into a parked car in their vehicle.

Nyachan Churhak, 31, was driving the vehicle that struck the parked car, causing her vehicle to tip onto its side. Responding officers assisted in removing Churhak from the vehicle.

The extent of injuries was unknown, but Churhak and the child were transported to AMC for further medical attention.

Churhak took a preliminary breath test at the hospital, and her blood alcohol content was over the legal limit.

The case was forwarded to the County Attorney for further review and to determine charges.

The incident took place at the 800 block of 10th Avenue Northwest.
