The Rebels racked up 591 yards of total offense as they rolled past Rushford/Peterson (2-4 overall) 60-35 in a football game at Rushford Friday.

Sam Noterman threw for 310 yards and four scores and ran for 78 yards and another score, but he also joined the long list of Southland’s injured players in the win when he came out of the game in the fourth quarter.

Noterman is questionable to play at Caledonia Wednesday and he should be back for the playoffs, but Southland (5-1 overall) was also playing without a handful of other players who have been hurt this season.

Still, the Rebels scored at least 60 for the third time this season.

“We’re putting up a lot of points and we’re doing it with guys that are coming in and just stepping up,” Southland head coach Shawn Kennedy said. “We haven’t had a full strength team all season long.”

Alan May had 148 receiving yards and two scores for Southland, which allowed 448 yards of offense to R/P.
